2026 Accreditation Seals

Congratulations to Pennridge Regional Police Department!

Thank you for your continued professionalism and service to the East Rockhill community.

From the Desk of Chief Dickinson:

We are proud to announce that on Thursday, April 23, 2026 the Pennridge Regional Police Department officially achieved accredited status through the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association Accreditation Program.

Chief Dickinson, along with Sgt. Pedro Ruiz and the Township Managers of East and West Rockhill attended the PLEAC Committee meeting in Harrisburg where the committee approved the department to receive this accomplishment.  This distinction reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to professionalism, accountability, and excellence in law enforcement.

To earn accreditation, agencies must undergo a rigorous process that includes the development and implementation of comprehensive policies and procedures, compliance with over 130 recognized best-practice standards, and a thorough on-site assessment conducted by independent evaluators. Accreditation also requires demonstrated adherence to standards in areas such as use of force, training, evidence handling, community relations, and administrative operations.  Departments must not only meet these benchmarks but also maintain them through periodic reviews and re-accreditation.

This achievement represents the dedication and hard work of our officers and staff in providing the highest level of service to our community. We thank our residents for their continued trust and support, as well as the Township Supervisors of East and West Rockhill Township.
