Selling or Buying Property?
Non-residential resale or change in tenant:
Apply for and obtain a zoning permit which is required prior to occupancy for all non-residential buildings.
Residential resale:
Apply for and obtain a resale certification which is required prior to settlement for all residential dwellings.
To avoid delaying settlement, the resale inspection must be scheduled at least seven (7) business days prior to settlement.
- Submit fee with application. Current fee is $85 per unit.
- Reinspection fee of $100 is required as the result of a failed inspection.
- Any work done without permits or violations determined by the Township will need to be corrected before an approved Certificate is issued.
- Inspections can be done via lockbox if the Property is vacant or electronically monitored.
- Certificate is only valid 30-days from date of issuance.
