Right to Know
Right to Know Requests
East Rockhill Township complies with the requirements of Pennsylvania Act 3 of 2008, the Right to Know Law. This law ensures that public information and records pertaining to the Township government are open and available, serving as a resource for citizens, public officials, and members of the media.
To receive or review Township public records, submit a Right-to-Know Request Form by email to the Township’s Open Records Officer or by mail to/in person at the Township Building. Anonymous or verbal requests will not be processed.
Fees for copies are set in the Township’s fee resolution.
Open Records Officer: Marianne Hart Morano,
Response Period, Generally
Upon receipt of a written Right to Know request, the Open Records Officer shall determine if the requested record is a public record and if the Township has possession, custody or control of that record. The Open Records Officer has 5 business days to complete that determination and either provide access to the requested record, deny access with an explanation as to why, or invoke an extension of up to an additional 30 days, as permitted under the Right to Know Law, due to the nature or volume of the request. Any request that is received after the close of regular business hours shall be deemed to be received on the next business day. Business days exclude Saturday and Sunday and a weekday, or portion of a weekday, where East Rockhill Township is closed due to a holiday, weather emergency or similar reason.
