Spring Yard Waste Collection
Our Spring Yard Waste collection is for tree branches 4 inches or less in diameter only and is scheduled by district with no registration required.
- Zone 1: Collection south of and including Ridge Road the week of May 10, 2027.
- Zone 2: Collection north of Ridge Road the week of May 17, 2027.
Guidelines:
- Have tree branches 4 inches or less in diameter out by the curb by 7am the first day of your collection; once the truck passes it will not return.
- Place yard waste in neat piles along the road frontage. Piles must be no higher than 48 inches. Branches must be no longer than 40 inches and tied in bundles no more than 24 inches in diameter using minimal biodegradable string or twine to help prevent equipment clogs.
Items Not Collected:
- Tree limbs with nails, wire, or any metal or cement
- Bundles with thorns, poison ivy or oak, wire, metal, dirt or stones
- Invasive plants such as bamboo
- Pressure-treated wood and materials cut by contracted services
- Landscape timbers and railroad ties
- Logs or firewood
- Grass clippings
Alternatives to dispose of yard waste:
- Contact your private trash hauler for collection.
- Yard waste containers are available for East Rockhill Township residents only: Monday–Saturday, 6:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., and Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Contractor and non-resident use is prohibited. Containers are electronically monitored, and violations may result in prosecution.
