Perkasie Farmers Market to Open June 6
The Perkasie Farmers Market, with proper precautions in place, will open as scheduled on June 6. It will be held at 7th and Market from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday through the end of October.
"Our market has been a social gathering for our community for many years and we know we will return to that but for now, we have to ask our customers, vendors, and staff to follow a whole new set of procedures," said Market Manager Linda Reid.
A Coronavirus Mitigation Plan, developed in cooperation with vendors, requires everyone who attends the market to wear a face mask. It also suggests customers limit the amount of time they spend shopping. Eating at the market is prohibited.
"Entering and leaving the market quickly will make it safer for you, other customers, and our staff," says Reid.
Customers are also asked to pre-order and pre-pay for as much as possible from our vendors. If you do not pre-order and pre-pay, you are asked to bring small bills and try to pay in the exact amount. Vendors are working on touchless methods for credit card payments.
