PPL Notice

To address frequent power outages on West Rock Road and Three Mile Run Road PPL Electric Utilities is implementing the following:

• Installing 2 new trip savers which will split up the area affected by frequent outages and reduce the impact of any single fault on the line to be completed before December 2024.  
• Replacing OCR with a new Viper device, which introduces better monitoring and remote control in the area to be completed before December 2024. 
• Installing Early Fault Detection (EFD) devices on both feeders to the township by the end of 2023. This is a cutting edge, new technology that can identify equipment problems before they lead to an outage.
• Investing in 2 miles of tree trimming along West Rock Road and Three Mile Run Road. Trimming is underway, weather permitting with additional tree work scheduled for 2025.
