Bucks County's own , Weisel Youth Hostel brings international flavor to the region

A real international gem is found within the township. The Weisel Youth Hostel, situated near Lake Nockamixon State Park on Richlandtown Road, offers the opportunity to experience a large country estate with ancient trees and a park like setting. Under the direction of the Bucks County Park Board and hosted by live-in housekeepers Sherry and Mark Richards, the hostel provides clean and comfortable lodging.

During a visit to the hostel you will experience gracious hospitality and a tour of the facility. A simple review of the guest book reveals that many of the guests travel internationally, from such countries as Japan, Australia, and Spain to name a few.

The Weisel Youth Hostel offers lodging for the weary traveler. Twenty beds are available. The cost of a bed is $10.00 per night and the hostel offers kitchen facilities and a spacious common room where travelers can gather to share their stories or mingle. During the day the local hiking trails will beckon you to enjoy the outdoors. The Hostel is open year round with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Because of the international popularity reservations for lodging are needed. The hostel is listed in the 1999 Hostelling Guide to North America, and featured in the 1999 Bucks County Visitors Guide & Map.

Located at 7347 Richlandtown Road, just off of route 563 (also known as Mountain View Drive), it is easily accessible.

Non-profit groups may also make arrangements to use the facility for small group meetings or workshops at a nominal fee. Office hours are 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM daily.

To make further inquiries or reservations the office may be reached at 215-536-8749.
