Perkasie Fire Company and Ambulance prepare for Substation completion

 

The Perkasie Fire Company and Perkasie Ambulance are moving forward on interior renovation of the new substation building.

 

Upon completion, the 40 x100 building will provide a location for the Perkasie Fire Co. Station #76 and a substation for the Perkasie Ambulance. The building is located behind the Township Administration building on Ridge Road.

 

The goal of the facility is to not increase the service areas of the organizations, but to improve the response times within the township.

 

At a cost if $65,000.00, the Board of Supervisors erected the structure, designed to provide three fire company service bays, one ambulance bay and one township municipal bay. In addition the facility will also provide two ambulance bunk rooms, restroom facilities and meeting quarters.

 

Upon completion, the facility will also be served by an emergency generator that may be utilized for emergency management purposes.

 

It is anticipated that the facility will be completed by the end of December 1999.
