Ballot Referendum Passes

 

Township voters support additional Open Space preservation

 

On May 18th the voters of East Rockhill approved a non-binding ballot question indicating support for continued open space preservation and authorizing the Board of Supervisors to enact an ordinance to increase the Earned Income Tax by .125%.

 

Under State law the funds generated by the enactment will remain separate from the general fund and will only be used for the purpose of land preservation and open space acquisition.

 

This funding will aide in the township protecting and preserving properties noted in the open space plan.
