Rid Your Household and Garage of Hazardous Waste

Many household products contain chemicals that when discarded could contribute to the contamination of the water, soil or environment. A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program provides ways to reduce the amount of hazardous household chemical waste that is chronically improperly disposed of.

Each year twenty–five collection dates are established across southeastern Pennsylvania. For the year 2003, two dates and locations are accessible for residents in the Upper Bucks County area.

On August 23,2003 household hazardous waste may be taken to the Upper Bucks County Area Vo-tech School 3115 Ridge Road. On September 20, 2003 the Quakertown Area Community Pool located on Mill Street will accept waste.

The collection times will be held from 9:00am to 3:00 pm at both locations. Any questions regarding collected materials may be directed to the Bucks County Planning Commission at 215-345-3400.
