Notice is hereby given that the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on June 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment and to consider the adoption of an ordinance, of which this notice is a summary, amending Chapter 22 of the Township of East Rockhill Code of Ordinances, Subdivision and Land Development, and revising Section 22-305 to establish deadlines for inactive subdivision and land development plans and amending Section 22-515 establishing and revising the regulations, requirements, approved plantings and required plantings and amounts of required plantings for landscaping and street trees and afforestation and reforestation and further amending the terminology and definitions set forth in Section 22-202, relating to afforestation, reforestation and tree protection zones, and Section 22-504 relating to the energy conservation zone.  The Board’s public hearing on this ordinance is scheduled for June 17, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., at the East Rockhill Township Building, 1622 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.   Copies of the full text of the ordinance are available at the Township office, the Bucks County Law Library, and the office of this newspaper during normal business hours.  All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing and meeting.

NOTICE

 

Please take notice that the East Rockhill Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Upper County Campus of the Bucks County Community College, One Hillendale Drive, Perkasie, PA to consider the appeal and application of the Pennridge School District for the property located at 1228 North Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944, and identified as Tax Map Parcel Nos. 12-9-214, 12-9-214-1, 12-14-3, 12-9-201, 12-9-200-1 and 12-9-200.9.  The property is located in the C-E, Cultural-Educational, zoning district.  The Applicant proposes to install 4 light poles each 70 feet high at the High School Stadium, where 35 feet is the maximum permitted height.  The Applicant appeals the March 26, 2008 action of the East Rockhill Township Zoning Officer denying a zoning permit for the light poles on that basis that Zoning Ordinance §27-1710 prohibits the light poles at the 70 feet height.  The Applicant seeks an interpretation of the Zoning Officer’s determination.  Alternatively, the Applicant seeks a variance from Zoning Ordinance §27-1710 to install the light poles at 70 feet high.

 

The application and accompanying documents are on file for public inspection Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the East Rockhill Township Municipal Building.

NOTICE

 

Notice is hereby given that the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing and consider for possible adoption an ordinance, of which this Notice is a summary, amending Section 20-105 of the East Rockhill Township Code of Ordinances, The Disposal of Refuse, and renaming that Section The Disposal of Municipal Waste and Source-Separated Recyclable Materials and adding source-separated materials to the requirements in that section and further amending Section 20-107 to prohibit the co-mingling of leaf waste and municipal waste in the collection process.  The Board will hold a public hearing to consider the ordinance for possible adoption at its regularly scheduled meeting of June 10, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the East Rockhill Township Municipal Building, 1622 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA.  Copies of the full text of the Ordinance are available at the Township offices, the Bucks County Law Library and the offices of this newspaper during normal business hours.  All interested parties are invited to attend this hearing.

Notice is hereby given that the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on May 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment and to consider the adoption of an ordinance, of which this notice is a summary, amending Chapter 27 of the Township of East Rockhill Code of Ordinances, Zoning, and revising Part 16, Airport Area Protection Standards, by amending the Pennridge Airport Zoning Map and revising the Approach Slope Zone, the Elevation Basis and Excepted Height Limitations; revising Part 19, Natural Resource Protection Standards, Site Capacity Calculations, Open Space Standards and Buffers, by amending Section 27-1901(b) and deleting Recreation Land Requirements under Site Capacity Calculations and amending Section 27-1904 by deleting the fee in lieu of Recreation Land; amending Section 27-1905 by revising the Buffer Yard Class for Municipal Buildings and the permitted plantings within all Buffers; and, amending Section 304 and 602 of Chapter 27 by permitting police department buildings as Municipal Buildings and revising the Dimensional Regulations relating to same.  The Board’s public hearing on this ordinance is scheduled for May 20, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., at the East Rockhill Township Building, 1622 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.   Copies of the full text of the ordinance are available at the Township office, the Bucks County Law Library, and the office of this newspaper during normal business hours.  All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing and meeting.

In accordance with Section 917.b(2) of the Second Class Township Code, the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors hereby advertises its intent to appoint a Certified Public Accountant to replace and assume the responsibility of the elected auditors with regard to performing an audit of all accounts and preparing the required financial statements of East Rockhill Township.  Any questions may be directed to the Township Manager.

Notice is hereby given that the following East Rockhill Township Boards and Commissions will meet on the following dates and times.  All meetings are open to the public and will be conducted at 1622 N. Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.  Requests for special accommodations can be made at 215-257-9156.

 

Board of Supervisors shall meet monthly in 2008 at 7:00 PM, the second Tuesday for work sessions except in January and the third Tuesday for regular meetings: January 7, and 15; February 12 and 19; March 11 and 18; April 8 and 15; May 13 and 20; June 10 and 17; July 8 and 15; August 12 and 19; September 9 and 16; October 14 and 21; November 11 and 18; and December 9 and 16.  The annual Re-organization Meeting will be January 7, 2008 at 6:30 PM with the Work Session to follow immediately after.

 

The Planning commission shall meet monthly in 2008 at 7:30 PM, the first Thursday for work sessions and the second Thursday for regular meetings: January 3 and 10; February 7 and 14; March 6 and 13; April 3 and 10; May 1 and 8; June 5 and 12; July 3 and 10; August 7 and 14; September 4 and 11; October 2 and 9; November 6 and 13; and December 4 and 11.

 

Recreation Committee shall meet every other month in 2008 at 7:00 PM, as needed, the first Tuesday: March 4, May 6, July 1, and September 2, 2008.  Other dates may be scheduled as needed.
