Join the Traffic Safety Committee

April 2009

The Pennridge Regional Police Department is forming a Traffic Safety Committee to identify and address traffic safety concerns within East Rockhill Township and West Rockhill Township. The committee will be made up of two citizen representatives from each municipality and the Chief of Police. It is our goal to address ongoing traffic safety concerns and to anticipate and plan for the future needs and concerns of each township.

Participation in this committee is voluntary. Meetings will be held quarterly, with more frequent meetings to be held at the discretion of the committee, if needed. The committee will be a recommending body only, providing recommendations to the Chief of Police for enforcement activities and prevention efforts, and providing recommendations for township and State road improvements.

If you are interested in being considered for participation, please forward a brief letter to the Chief of Police indicating your intent to be considered for the committee, why you would like to be on this committee, and any previous volunteer committees for which you have served. The Chief of Police will review letters and send acceptance notifications within thirty days of the closing date, July 30, 2009.

The Pennridge Regional Police Department looks forward to working with our community members to help keep our community safe!

Closing Date: July 30, 2009
