Ellen Roesener Retires After 20 Years of Service

Township Assistant Secretary-Treasurer Ellen Roesener retired after 20 years of service on May 11, 2009. Ellen saw the township through many changes including the formation of the Pennridge Regional Police Department while holding the position of police secretary, and transitioning the township to electronic filing while serving as township assistant secretary. To honor her for her years of dedicated service, the Board of Supervisors passed a resolution and presented her with an award at their March 17 meeting, pictured.
Due to budget constraints, the position was filled by a part-time bookkeeper. The position’s other responsibilities will be handled by existing staff. This arrangement will be re-evaluated in next year’s budget proposal.
