Census Survey Coming Soon to Your Neighborhood

During of February and March, the U.S Census Bureau will be mailing and hand-delivering census questionnaires to households throughout the Township. The forms should take less than 10 minutes to complete and all personal information provided is protected by federal law. The accuracy of the information collected is critical in determining congressional seats to states, deciding which community services to offer, as well as properly allocating $300 billion in federal funds to local governments like East Rockhill Township. The United States Constitution requires a count of everyone living in the United States every 10 years; your participation in this census is required by law.

How to Verify U.S. Census Bureau Employees

The U.S. Census Bureau wants to make sure that all local residents and law enforcement are able to properly identify Census Bureau employees, both temporary decennial employees and permanent field representatives. Temporary decennial Census employees will have an official identification card with the employee’s signature and expiration date; this card will not include a photo. Regional level employees as well as field officers will have identification cards that have both a photograph and expiration date. If you are unsure of a Census Bureau employees’ identity, or suspect fraud you may call the police department at 215-257-5104.
