New Pennridge Regional Police Headquarters Building Update

-Open House held Oct. 22, 2011

Plans for the new Pennridge Regional Police Department headquarters are proceeding on schedule to prepare for a fall 2011 move-in date. Plans should be completed in September with bids to be received in October.Read more.

Branch Road Bridge to Re-open

Construction on the Branch Road Bridge over the East Perkiomen Creek is mostly completed. The Bridge remains closed until line striping can be completed when weather permits. Questions should be directed to Bucks County at 215-345-3950.

Recycling Drop Off Center Ordinance

A public hearing was held July 20, 2010 at 7:00pm by the Board of Supervisors to consider a proposed Ordinance to amend the solid waste ordinance to provide hours of operation and list materials accepted at the East Rockhill Township Residential Recycling Center. The Recycling Center hours of operation were changed by Resolution No. 2010- 11 to 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and from 6:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Sundays. The Center is only for residential use of approved materials as listed in Ordinance #254. Violators are subject to fines and penaliteis.

District Court Updates, A Year in Review

Over 3,600 cases funneled through Pennridge's District Court 07-2-03 in 2009, and over $430,000 in fines and fees were collected district-wide. Approximately $4,500 in fines and fees are collected by East Rockhill Township annually. Public trust and confidence begins with a fair and impartial judiciary. "Every day, I and the other 550 commonwealth district judges work to fairly provide resolution to disputes, to protect peoples' constitutional rights, and to uphold the law," says District Court Judge Charles Baum..

Additional Emergency Medical Services
From Perkasie Fire Company

In an emergency, a few minutes can be the difference between life and death. In order to reach emergencies more quickly, Perkasie Fire Company has created a dedicated unit, Unit 26, to respond to cardiac or respiratory arrest and choking incidents. East Rockhill Township gave vocal support to Perkasie Fire Company’s Unit 26 initiative, as it will improve emergency services in the township.
